I had two Sent folders on my iMac desktop ( in Apple Mail) and two Sent folders in my NS Web Mail. Some Sent emails would go in to one and some in to the other. A NS support person told me to delete one of the Sent folders in Web Mail which also removed it from my Apple Mail, iPhone and iPad. But now my two mobile devices keep creating Sent folders. Is there any way to prevent this? Is this just a function of iPhone / iPad or something with NS web mail?

You need to configure your Apple mail and your iPhone and iPad to use the default server sent folder. This is usually under advanced settings. I recommend contacting Apple for detailed directions.
