Why does Network Solutions run so far behind the technology curve with its server platform software?
We just got a few months back the Microsoft 2005 SQL but it has been replaced by Microsoft 2008 SQL even before this Network Solutions upgrade was made.
We still do not have SharePoint and this is a core product from Microsoft for their linking of everything from groups to documents to eMail... what and why as this is a major flaw in where hosting services need to be heading?
I am running a broken website because I cannot use the features of the now retired Microsoft Publisher 2003 Product because Network Solutions never upgraded from Publisher 2000/2002 extensions to the Publisher 2003 with SharePoint and would not think about migrating to Microsoft Expression or other newer tools because I cannot count on my web solution provider to keep pace with the market. I need help but keep getting the run around. When and why is this provider not keeping up with the market as we are nearly into 2009 and we are running more than a generation of software behind for a Windows platform and causing a large number of sites (my customers) to abandon their hosting here.
My personal FTP and Media server does not work and never has worked on this Windows Server platform provided and after a year there is still no solution and technical support simply closes support tickets after 14-20 days... I have personally reported this same problem 11 times!!! This is absurd at best.
I felt that I had no choice but to post this publically to see if others here are having similar problems so that management might listen for a change.
Simply need some solutions/answers and not the run around any longer... as have been on the telephone on more than two dozen occassions since January of this year with technical support and no solution is ever provided. I want a Windows based Forum on my website that is the same provider which Network Solutions uses and asked specifically about configuration but they declined to assist after five calls and repeated eMails. The support team has been weak at best and I need real support and real answers.
